Fraction f of undecayed mass of radioactive element after time t is given by
 
f = e-λt .....................(1)
 
where λ is decay constant
 
if we need to get the fraction of undecayed mass after 2 mean-life, then time t = 2/λ
 
Hence eqn.(1) becomes,  f = e-2 ≈ 0.135 
 
Hence mass of undecayed element = (10×0.135) g = 1.35 g
