Hence x coordinate is given by, x(t) = a [ 1- cos(ωt) ]
y coordinate is given by, y(t) = a sin(ωt)
from above equation, we get, x2 + y2 = a2 [ 1 - cos (ωt) ]2 + a2 sin2 (ωt) = 2a2 [ 1 - cos(ωt) ] = 2a x
Hence the trajectory is given by, x2 + y2 - 2ax = 0
The above equation is equation of a circle with centre ( a, 0 ) and radius a
