Meristematic cells can continuously divide whereas cells of permanent tissue have lost their power of division.
Cells of meristematic tissue are undifferentiated whereas cells are completely differentiated in case of permanent tissues.
Vacuoles are small or absent in cells of meristematic tissue whereas large vacuoles are present in permanent tissue.
Metabolic activity is high in case pf meristematic tissue whereas the metabolic rate is low in permanent tissues.
