Potassium burns with lilac coloured  flame.

When salt  of potassium reacts with silver nitrate  it  gives  white  precipitate.
So the white  precipitate is must be of  silver  chloride and is dissolved in  ammonium hydroxide.

So  the salt  is KCl.

KCl + AgNO → KNO +AgCl↓
