When I blindfolded myself for a very short while, the simple task of walking around the house had become difficult. I tried to switch on the television but I could not find its buttons. I felt completely disoriented and helpless. A feeling of fear enveloped me as I felt vulnerable to the danger of being attacked. But on the brightside, I could feel that my other senses had become sharper. I could hear the chirping of the birds and the rustling of the leaves in the yard. I could also smell the faint fragrance of potted jasmine in our balcony.
