Image formation for various lens is explained in the figure.
For the convex lens-1 L1 : 1/v - 1/u = 1/f or 1/v + 1/30 = 1/10 or v = 15 cm, image v1 is at right side of lens L1 from optical centre of lens-1
(Sign convention u is -ve f is +ve )
For the plano concave Lens-2 L2 : image v1 formed by lens-1 is acting as object, this object is at left side at 10 cm distance.
1/v - 1/u = 1/f or 1/v + 1/10 = -1/10 or v = - 5 cm , (sign convention u is -ve and f is also -ve)
image v2 is left of lens-2 at adistance 5 cm from optical centre of lens-2
For the convex lens-3 L3 : imagev2 formed by lens-2 acts as object. this object is right side of L3 at a distance 5 cm
1/v-1/u = 1/f or 1/v+1/5=1/30 or v = -6 cm , (sign convention u is -ve and f is +ve)
image v3 is left of lens-3 at a distance 6 cm from optical centre of lens-3
