K2ptcl6 is possible but k2Nicl6 is not possible.Explain Why?

Expert Answer:
Because size of Ni is so small so it can not hold 6 ligands at a time so K2NiCl6 is not possible. K2PtCl6 is possible because Pt is having large in size and can hold 6 ligands.
