It was ancient Indians mathematicians who discovered Pythagoras theorem. Pythagoras theorem was known much before Pythagoras. It was Baudh?yana who discovered the Pythagoras theorem. Baudh?yana listed Pythagoras theorem in his book called Baudh?yana ?ulbasûtra. It is not yet confirmed whether Pythagoras was the first person to have found the relationship between the sides of the right triangles, as no texts written by him were found. Nevertheless, the theorem has still got his name credited to it.
