Is there any advantage of screw gauge over vernier calliper or vice versa? If not why do we have 2 instruments?

Both have their own different uses.
By vernier calliper we can measure inner diameter of hollow object (like cylinder, sphere etc). and outer diameter of solid objects.
By srew gauge we can measure the diamter of the small, thin objects like string, wire, thread, resistor etc.
