is reminder theorem is applicable for divisor more than 1 degree if it so how I find anwsert

For divisor more than 1 degree, we need to factorise the divisor and find its roots
example:
x4+5x2+4x divided by x2-x-2
Factorise x2-x-2
x2-x-2 = (x-2)(x+1)
now check whether x-2 and x+1 are factors of x4+5x2+4x .
