Iron reacts with calcium sulphate solution
Asked by Nancyjose949 | 21 May, 2020, 17:26: PM
Iron can not react with calcium sulphate, calcium being highly reactive metal, this can not be displace by iron.
Insted of calcium sulphate, iron can react with copper sulphate as follows:
When an iron nail is immersed in the aqueous solution of copper sulphate, a brown coating of copper is developed over iron and the blue copper sulphate solution becomes pale green since iron is more reactive than copper.
Fe(s) + CuSO4(aq) → FeSO4(aq) + Cu(s)
It is a chemical change and the above reaction is a displacement reaction.
