ICSE Class 6 Answered
in the question which takes the shape of the container in which it is filled ,I gave the answer liquid but it went wrong and the answer came gas and liquid .
my question is that A deflated ballon does not have any shape so how can we say that gas takes the shape of the container? besides it changes the shape of the container.

The particles are much farther apart from one another as compared to the solids and liquids.
They have a very disordered arrangement of particles compared to solids and liquids.
The force of attraction between the particles is negligible, hence particles of a gas move freely in all directions.
Gases can exert pressure on the walls of its container. Gases neither have a definite shape nor a definite volume.
They fill up the container completely.
Thus, gases do not have definite or fixed boundaries and take up the shape of the container.
Also, gases can easily expand and be compressed to fill any container.
