In the nuclear fusion in sun, how does 4 protons(from 4 atoms of Hydrogen) gets converted to 2 neutrons and 2 protons(as in nucleus of helium)?

In such nucleur reactions the sub-atomic particles are being converted into one another.
Thus the proteos are being converted into neutrons making positrons.
