in the ncert textbook,it is given that in saponification reaction,ethanol and ethanoic acid are formed.but everywhere else,it is given that sodium ethanoate and ethanol are formed.which one is correct?

Sodium ethanoate is the correct but it is a derivative of ethanoic acid.
