In ∆ ABC, ∠B = 900and AC2 = 2 BC2 then ∠ A = __________

Given: In ∆ ABC, ∠B = 90o and AC2 = 2 BC2 then
By Pythagoras theorem, we have
AC2 = AB2 + BC2
2BC2  = AB2 + BC2    ... (As AC2 = 2 BC2)
BC2  = AB2
BC = AB
∠A = ∠C   ... (As angles opposite to equal sides are equal)
∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180o
∠A + ∠C = 90o
Therefore, ∠A = 45o
