Given: alpha and beta are the roots of polynomial P(x)=x2+x+1
Using the relation between roots and coefficients, we have
![straight alpha plus straight beta equals negative 1 space and space αβ equals 1
1 over straight alpha plus 1 over straight beta equals fraction numerator straight alpha plus straight beta over denominator αβ end fraction equals fraction numerator negative 1 over denominator 1 end fraction equals negative 1](https://images.topperlearning.com/topper/tinymce/cache/66ed5bb12a1ae9d2450fe89fd54e58b4.png)
