Let AB is building height and BC is shadow as shown in figure.
 
If altitude of sun is 60o , then begin mathsize 14px style fraction numerator A B over denominator B C end fraction equals space tan 60 space equals space square root of 3 end style
Height of building , AB = 20√3 m = 34.64 m
