For finding correct dimension you should have good knowledge and understanding of SI units
For example
F=ma
S I space u n i t space o f space m a s s equals k g S I space u n i t space o f space a c c e l e r a t i o n equals m s to the power of negative 2 end exponent S I space u n i t space o f space f o r c e space equals k g m s to the power of negative 2 end exponent equals left square bracket M to the power of 1 L to the power of 1 T to the power of negative 2 end exponent right square bracket
This is the way you can work out the problems based on dimensional formula.
