How oxygen is not a product of respiration
Asked by christopherrajkumari | 06 Jun, 2022, 22:35: PM
During aerobic cellular respiration, glucose combines with oxygen to form ATP that can be used as an energy source by the cell. Carbon dioxide and water are released as byproducts. In cellular respiration, a glucose molecule is completely oxidised to form CO2 and H2O and energy is generated in the form of ATP. Oxygen is utilised in the process. Hence, it is not a product of respiration.
