how are rest and motion are relative?explain with examples.

we talk about condition of rest or motion of an object with respect to some reference point. that's why rest and motion are relative.

if a person sitting in a moving train looks another person on the platform, then the first person is in motion with respect to the second one while he is at rest with respect to the train.
