Hello Sir/Madam
Pls tell me whether the definition of translocation also includes ammino acids and hormones apart from food synthesized during photosynthesis, though i know sieve tubes carry ammino acids and hormones too.
Thanks
Regards

All plants translocate sucrose and some also transport other sugars such as stachyose, or sugar alcohols such as sorbitol. Many other organic compounds including amino acids, proteins, and hormones are also translocated via phloem. Translocation involves the transport of products of photosynthesis including, sugar, amino acids, hormones by phloem to the rest of plants.
