We know Bernoulli's eqn.. P+(1/2)ρv2 = constant, where P is pressure, ρ is density and v is speed of fluid.

Let Po be the atmospheric pressure. Hence absolute pressure inside bulb (P+Po)

Inside bulb, air is stagnant .  At point C, pressure is ( Po- ρgh )  and let at point C air velocity be V

Then by Bernoulli's eqn,   (P+Po) = ( Po-ρgh ) + (1/2)σ V2 .................(1)

From eqn.(1), we get  begin mathsize 12px style V space equals space open curly brackets fraction numerator begin display style P plus rho g H end style over denominator begin display style open parentheses sigma divided by 2 close parentheses end style end fraction close curly brackets to the power of 1 divided by 2 end exponent end style
