Derive relation between N and Dyne

answered-by-expert Expert Answer
Force =  mass x acceleration
For mass, SI unit is kilogram and CGS unit is gram
1 kg = 1000 g
For acceleration, SI unit is m/s2 and CGS unit is cm/s2
1 m/s2 = 100 cm/s2

1 N = 1 kg x 1 m/s2
1 N = 1000 g x 100 cm/s2
1 N = 100000 g cm/s2 = 105 g cm/s2 = 105 dyne
Thus,
1 N = 105 dyne
