define the refractive index of benzene if the critical angle of it is 42

Critical angle, c = 42°
Let the rafrcative index of benzene be nb
c = sin-1 (1/nb)
42°= sin-1 (1/nb)
sin 42° = 1/nb
nb = 1/0.67 = 1.49
Thus, refractive index of benzene is 1.49
