Lenz law state that the direction of induced current would be in a such a way that it will try to cancel out the cause which has produced it. Like if changing magnetic field is going inside a loop and its increasing then the induced current will flow in such a way that will try to minimize the magnetic field which is producing it.
The simplest application of lenz law is in electric generator.
