Fractional distillation is a method tpo separate liquids which is having different boiling points.
It is the separation of a mixture into component parts.
Experiment-p

Apparatus used for fractional distillation:

In this experiment, two liquids acetone and water is taken. These two liquids have a different boiling point of acetone is lower than water so when this mixture is heated. Acetone is getting converted inro gaseous state and go into the fractionating column. After a point of time water starts boiling and it also goes into the fractionating column. Acetone gas is present in the upper layer of column and water vapours are in downwards and these two different compounds are in two different layers so we can clearly separate them in liquid bypassing each layer of the compound through the condenser which converts gas into the liquid.
