Calculate the monthly bill for a heater of resistance 50 ohm's ,which is used on 200 volt mains, such that its daily use it for 4 hours. T he energy cost Rs.2.50 per kWh.

Expert Answer
Power consumption = V^2/R = (200×200)/50 = 800 watt
Energy consumed = P × t = 800 × 4 × 30 = 96000Wh = 96kwh
Total bil = 96×2.5 = 240 rupees
