by using factor theorem to find the factors, is it possible to use long division methord ?

First we have to convert a polynomial to simple quadratic by using factor theorem.
we get one of the roots and to find others we use long division,
then we right in Divident=divisor x quotient+remainder......remainder is always zero in this case
then quotient can be further solved by factorization.
