Let the Selling Price of one Orange = Rs. x
then the Selling Price of 4 oranges = Rs. 4x
Cost Price of 36 oranges = 36x + 4x = 40x
Loss = the Selling Price of 4 oranges = Rs. 4x
Loss% = ![begin mathsize 16px style fraction numerator Loss over denominator straight C. straight P end fraction cross times 100 end style](https://images.topperlearning.com/topper/tinymce/cache/a60348ac385ee7500593f7edc29b6647.png)

Substitute the values, we get
