As the day goes by, why does Kanta start to become unsure of her being equal?

Kanta starts to become unsure because of the following reasons:
1. She does not have a proper house and has got a drain behind it.
2. Her daughter is sick, but she cannot take the day off from work as she needs to borrow money from her employers to take her child to the doctor.
3. After getting tired from her job, she has to stand in a long line in the government hospital.
4. However, this line was unlike the one in the morning, which was there for voting, because most of the people standing in it are poor.
