ICSE Class 10 Answered
as object distance is decreased zero, that is the object is held very close to the lens ,the images in a diverging lens and converging lens become almost similar. can you find a simple qualitative explanation as to why? is there one different still?

As the object is placed close to the lens, in case of convex lens, the image for med is virtual and erect. The only difference is that the image formed in case of convex lens is larger than the object whereas the image formed in case of concave lens is smaller than the object.
