Radius R of convex mirror, R  = +30 cm ;

Focal length f of convex mirror , f = R/2 = + 15 cm

Mirror equation related to mirror-to-object distance u and mirro-to-image distance v is

By cartesian sign convention u = -20 cm

Hence , we get

img

from above expression, we get v = 60/7 cm = 8.6 cm

we get v positive, hence image is formed 8.6 cm behind the pole of mirror .

Image is virtual .

magnification of image = -v/u = -8.6/(-20) = 0.43 .

Since magnification is less than one and positive, image is erect and diminished.
