Fluid connective tissue is a connective tiisue in which the matrix is liquid. Examples of this tissue are blood and lymph. Fluid tissue links different parts of the body and maintains a continuity in the body.
In blood the liquid matrix is plasma in which are embedded the blood corpuscles like red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Blood transports respiartory gases, nutrients, waste materials, hormones etc. to different parts of the body.
