ABCD is a rectangle,where, BF II CE, AD=11cm & AB=8cm.Find the area of triangle FGE.

ABCD is an rectangle
AB = CD = 8 cm
AD = BC = 11cm
BF||CE
BC||AD
BC||FE
So BCEF is parallelogram
BC = FE = 11 cm
In triangle CEF
height = CD = 8 cm
base = FE = 11 cm
Area = 1/2 × 8 × 11 = 44 cm2
now triangle CEF and triangle FGE line between same parallel lines and same base
so both their areas are equal
so, Area of triangle FGE = 44 cm2
