The area of a parallelogram is equal to the area of a rectangle with dimensions 40 cm by 12 cm . If the base of the parallelogram is 16 Cm , find its height .

area of rectangle = 40 cm x 12 cm
= 480 sq.cm
area of rectangle = area of parallelogram
area of parallelogram = base x height
480 = 16 x height
height = 30 cm
