A woman go s uphill with an average speed of 25 km/h and downhill with an average speed of 35 km/h. Find the average speed of the total journey

Expert Answer
Speed of the woman while going up is S1 = 25km/h
Speed of the woman while going down is S2 = 35 km/h
Average speed = 2S1S2/(S1+S2)
= 2 x 25 x 35 /(25+35)
= 1750/60
= 175/6 km/h
