Area of a rectangle = l × b = 40 × 22 = 880 cm2
 
Perimeter of a Square = Perimeter of a rectangle 
→ 4(side) = 2(l + b)
→ 4(side) = 2(40 + 22)
→ 4(side) = 2(40 + 22)
→  side = 31 cm
 
Area of a square = side2 = (31)2 = 961 cm
 
 
Therefore, the shape of Square encloses more area.
