A village has a tank measuring 15 m × 10 m × 5 m. For how many days will the water will last if there is a population of 2500 and each person requires 100 litres of water per day?

Dimensions of the tank are
Length (l) = 15 m, breadth (b) = 10 m and height(h) = 5 m
Volume of tank (V) == 750 m3 = 750000 litres.
Volume of water required by 2500 people in one day (V1) = 2500 × 100 = 250000 litres
Let the water lasts for ‘N’ days.
Then, N × V1= V
Thus water will last for 3 days.
