Expert Answer
Let charge +Q is at P which is at a distance d from the mid point of charged rod of length 2l as shown in figure.
Let λ be the linear charge density, i.e. charge per unit length of the rod.
Force F experienced by charge Q is the product of charge Q and the electric field E due to the charged rod.
