A toy is in the form of a hemisphere surmounted by a cone of radius 3 cm and height 4 cm. Calculate the surface area of the toy.

Radius of the conical part = Radius of the hemispherical part (r) = 3 cm
Height of conical part (h) = 4 cm, let slant height of the conical part = (l)
For the conical part of toy,
Surface area of the toy = Curved surface area of the conical part + curved surface area of the hemispherical part
