A room is 4m long and 3m 50cm wide. How many square meters of carpet is needed to cover the floor of the room

Length of the room = 4m
Breadth of the room = 3.5 m
Area of the room = Length x breadth = (4 x 3.5) m2 = 14 m2
Therefore, 14 square meters of carpet is needed to cover the floor of the room.
