A rectangular hall is 16m long and 12m wide how many marble slabs of size 25cm *15cm are needed to cover the floor of the hall.
Do one thing.
Find out the area of the rectangular hall.
Find out the area of the marble slab.
Remember, the units are to be made same.
Now, to know the number of marble tiles required to fill the hall, you just have to divide the area of the hall with the area of the marble tile.
Calculations-
Area of the rectangular hall = length x width = 1600 x 1200 (we converted 'm' to 'cm') = 1920000 sq. cm.
Area of one marble tile = 25 x 15 = 375 sq. cm.
Now you divide the numbers and get 5120 tiles.
