A person travels a total distance in three parts in the ratio 4:3:1, with a constant speed of 90km/h,20m/s and 10m/s, respectively.What will be the average speed of the journey ?

Distance 4a km is covered at 90 km/hr.
Time taken = 4a/90 hr
 
Distance 3a km is covered at 20 km/hr.
Time taken = 3a/20 hr
 
Distance a km is covered at 10 km/hr.
Time taken = a/10 hr
 
 
Total time taken = (4a/90 + 3a/20 +a/10) hr
Total distance covered = 4a +3a + a = 8a km
