A METALIC BLOCK OF 6 KILOGRAM IS DROPPED INTO A WATER TANK . THE VOLUME OF THE BLOCK IS GIVEN TO BE .003 METRE CUBE AND THE DENSITY OF WATER IS 1000 KILO GRAM PER METRE CUBE FIND THE BUOYANT FORCE ON THE BLOCK AND DENSITY OF METALIC BLOCK ?

Expert Answer:

VOLUME OF THE BLOCK IS GIVEN TO BE .003 METRE CUBE
MASS=6 KILOGRAM

DENSITY=MASS/VOLUME=2000kg/m3
As the density is greater than density of water so it will sink.

BUOYANT FORCE ON THE BLOCK=Vdwg=0.003x1000x10=30N
