Expert Answer
Let bus-A travel at a speed of 60 km/hr and bus-B travel at a speed of 90 km/hr.
Let both the buses meet after t hours from the starting time of bus-B.
Distance travelled by bus-B = 90×t ................(1)
Since bus-A has already started 1 hour before bus-B, distance travelled by bus-A = 60×(t+1) .......................(2)
Since both are meeting , distance given in eqn.(1) and eqn.(2) are same.
hence 90×t = 60×(t+1) .................(3)
By solving eqn.(3), we get t = 2 hour.
Hence the high speed bus-B will meet the earlier bus-A after 2 hour.
