Distance travelled in accelerated motion,  S1 = (1/2) a t2 = (1/2)×2×102 = 100 m

speed after 10 s = a t = 2×10 = 20 m/s

Distance travelled with uniform speed, S2 = v × t = 20 × 10 = 200 m

Distance travelled with retardation, S3 = u t - (1/2)at2 = [ ( 20 × 8 ) ] - [ (1/2) × 4 × 82 ] = 32 m

Total distance travelled = S1 + S2 + S3 = 100 + 200 + 32 = 332 m
