Why does Co in +2 oxidation state gets easily oxidised to Co in +3 oxidation state?

This is not true. A common oxidation state for simple cobalt compounds is +2. Common oxidation states of cobalt include +2 and +3, although compounds with oxidation states ranging from ?3 to +4 are also known.
