In a right angled triangle with sides a and b and hypotenuse c, the altitude drawn on the hypotenuse is x. prove that ab=cx

In triangles ABD and ABC,
angle A = angle A
angle ADB = angle ABC
So, triangles ADB and ABC are similar.
Hence, AB/AC = BD/BC
a/c = x/b
Hence, ab = cx
