A:

Yes, it is true that injustice in any form can't escape being noticed even by children. In the case of the two extracts given in Memories of childhood, this is clearly evident. In the story ‘The Cutting of my Long Hair’ the author explains the emotional torture she has to go through because she is discriminated on the basis her race. She is literally hunted down in order that her long hair be cut, which according to the customs of her tribe is done only to shame unskilled warriors, cowards, and mourners.

In the other extract ‘We too are human beings’, the author writes about how she and her community is shunned by the society under the pretext of untouchability. She is a young, bubbly girl but cannot help observing how even the elders in her community are despised and disrespected.
