The sociocultural environment is an interconnected system that includes social, physical, cultural, economic and political structures and processes. The sociocultural environment exerts an influence on health through resources in physical settings – living conditions in neighborhoods and communities – and through the position people occupy in the hierarchy of societal structure – social position. Social structure and religion of a society greatly influences the culture of that country.
